Eunice Anderson Roche, 75, Crawfordsville, died 7:03 a.m. Tuesday in her residence. Mrs. Roche worked for the Washington National Insurance Company at Evanston, Ill. She also worked as a teacher's assistant at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary School, Lebanon, in the early 1980s, and as the Christian education coordinator for Centenary United Methodist Church (1984-88). She served as a Girl Scout's leader at Lebanon from 1961-75, sponsored children from the United Methodist Children's Home and hosted a "Belgian daughter' through the Youth for Understanding (1980-81). Her memberships included: First United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville; Deborah Circle; United Methodist Women; former member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Lebanon, where she was a choir member for 35 years, served on the Funeral Dinner Committee and taught Sunday school; Tourist Club at Lebanon; Habitat for Humanity; Former Boone County Neighborhood chairman, Girl Scouts of America; National Literacy Foundation; Boone County Cancer Society; and Project Literacy at Lebanon. She was a 1947 Evanston Township (Ill.) High School graduate. Mrs. Roche was born Sept. 15, 1928, at Evanston, to Carl Oliver and Rose Cecelia Erickson Anderson. She married Laurant B. 'Larry' Roche on March 17, 1951, at Evanston. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Susan E. Roche, Burlington, Vt., Lauren R. Basile, Indianapolis, and Jeanine R. Calabria, Concord, Mass.; two sisters, Barbara Miller, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Karen Givens, Chicago, Ill.; and six grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday in Centenary United Methodist Church, 910 Fordice Road, Lebanon, with the Rev. Wade Plasterer officiating. Cremation is scheduled. There will be no visitation. Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may make online condolences at www.myersmortuary.com.
